Today, day three of the Summit, we feature two colorful characters, Matt Mernagh from Canada, the other, Wayward Bill Chengelis, from the United States, who have been public figures fighting for the rights of Cannabis users. They have both been tirelessly playing significant roles towards getting Cannabis legalized in their respective territories. Listen to what they've been doing, and are continuing to do, following their passion of freeing the weed.
We also have Dr. Melamede sharing some fascinating understandings about our endocannabinoid system. From him in this interview we learn some new concepts and get some insights into how cannabinoids work in our bodies to do some interesting things. He shares how cannabis is extremely valuable to HIV / AIDS, how these health threats are also matters of National Security, and how cannabis again can save the day. Many other interesting tidbits may be picked up from this interview, and perhaps the one that may bring a smile to us all is how he justifies that politicians ought to consume cannabis... for the good of all of us.
Today we also enjoy a bonus interview with Tony from Titanium Deviations, one of the Summit supporters. They sent us some of their awesome dugouts & absolutely amazing one-hitters to test out as part of our ongoing reviews (product manufacturers, please read this), and they are also supplying some of our Summit Speakers with these fine items as honorarium gifts (thank you!). To be honest, we liked their product so much that we wanted to buy one, and almost did, but then we approached them to be a part of the Summit since we figured that if we wanted one then perhaps others would like to find out about their great product too. If you are an on-the-go smoker then you really should check out their incredible one-hitters on their website, and listen to the short interview to learn why they are head & shoulders above most other one-hitters. Their dugout is actually extremely well designed too, but it is their pipe that is innovatively outstanding.

President & CEO of Cannabis Science, as well as professor at the University of Colorado teaching classes about Cannabinoids, you could say that Bob knows a thing or two about our beloved plant, and how it affects the body... positively. Actually after listening to him you'll realize how much of an understatement that last statement was, as he obviously is as knowledgeable about cannabinoids as he is endocannabinoid endowed. From each speaker interviewed I certainly learned something, but from Dr. Melamede my mind was blown by the information he shared. For example, we all know that Omega 3 fatty acids (you know, the stuff in fish, flax & hemp seeds) is supposed to be really good for you, but did you know why? In layman's terms your body turns it into a form of marijuana, and CB1 receptors, which is why the
pharmaceuticals to serve the approximate 500 million individuals affected by this epidemic, and the implications that has to do with National Security. Sort of like a fountain of youth, he explains how cannabis may help with the aging process, and many aspects pertaining to bodily health. There is a lot more he talks about too. Yeah yeah, I know, this paragraph might make him sound a bit dubious, but remember the highly impressive credentials of this man, then listen to him. Best enjoyed with a sober mind to follow along his reasoning and conversations.
- "Cannabis Champion of the World!" -Mernagh.ca
Who says a single little person can't change the big system? Matt single-handedly (Ok, with the help and support of his wonderful lawyer Paul Lewin & friends that testified at court) struck down the marijuana prohibition laws in Canada, effectively legalizing weed. For accomplishing this astonishing result he has been called the "Cannabis Champion of the World", and his efforts sent ripples around the world affecting many, not just those in Canada. Unfortunately on February 1st, 2013 the judges struck down the previous ruling since it has been appealed by the Federal Government, but Matt is now engaging in taking this epic battle to the very top, the Supreme Court of Canada. We hope & pray that he will eventually succeed in making marijuana legal to possess and grow for personal use by any adult in Canada.
Wayward Bill Chengelis
Chairman of the United States Marijuana Party - On FaceBook
This political activist describes the current state of marijuana laws in Colorado, and to be honest, as an outsider it almost sounds like a utopian paradise for cannabis enthusiasts. However it hasn't always been as fantastic as it's been since the historical victory last year when Colorado voters decided that it is time to end the prohibition against marijuana in their State, letting people grow and consume cannabis for medicinal AND recreational purposes. Bill shares with us a bit of the journey it took activists, such as himself, to gradually "legalize" marijuana, initially on a municipal level in Denver and then all the way up to the State level. He shares a few tips and insights for people in other regions, within the United States and other Countries too, to consider what ultimately worked for them to achieve the outstanding result they accomplished. We briefly touch upon the campaign
Bonus Interview w/ Tony -TitaniumDeviations.com
In this short mini-interview we speak with Tony about a unique dugout & one-hitter smoking set that he designed, manufactures, and sells. As explained in the feature article about the various ingestion methods, this is a great tool for those people who prefer to smoke their cannabis due to its portability and ease of use.
